mrfitzgerald Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Hi All Hope someone can help. I used to use Autocad a long time ago back in the release 12 days! I've been asked to produce a plan at 1:20 scale using Autocad 2005 with certain areas of the plan been enhanced at 1:5 scale so they can be viewed easily. When I did this previously I used to do all my drawing work in model space. I would normally draw the main plan and then place a rectangle around the area I wanted to enhance and then copy and paste this area and increase in scale accordingly. The problem I have in doing it this way is that if I make an amendment to the main plan I also have to amend the larger scaled area accordingly - so in essence doing double the work on any amendments. What would be the easiest way to produce this drawing? Thanks in advance for any help or advice. Mark Quote
