New here, first post. How would one go about changing the font of a line of text in 2011? Everytime I try to change it to a .ttf font it becomes invisible in 2d wireframe visual style. I can see it in other styles, but it appears as white text. I've tried changing the color through mtext edit, the layer controls, and tried defining a new font style and I can't get it to work. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome and congrats on your first post. I use 2011 and occassionally use ttf with out problems. Are you using dual displays and are you using hardware acceleration (there is a little icon in the lower right that can toggle that off and on)? Otherwise you may have to post a drawing, or maybe someone else has solved this and will post soon.

Hardware acceleration was on, and switching it off did indeed make the text visible. Thanks for the help :)

Out of curiosity, why would leaving hardware acceleration on cause ttf text to disappear?

Here's a wild guess.

The ttf probably cannot handle the AutoCAD automatic (white/black) switching when the hardware accel is used, and makes it color 255 instead, which is white no matter what background it's on.

I don't know, I just know that it sometimes works.
