magnetized Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 New here, first post. How would one go about changing the font of a line of text in 2011? Everytime I try to change it to a .ttf font it becomes invisible in 2d wireframe visual style. I can see it in other styles, but it appears as white text. I've tried changing the color through mtext edit, the layer controls, and tried defining a new font style and I can't get it to work. Any help is appreciated. Quote
rkent Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Welcome and congrats on your first post. I use 2011 and occassionally use ttf with out problems. Are you using dual displays and are you using hardware acceleration (there is a little icon in the lower right that can toggle that off and on)? Otherwise you may have to post a drawing, or maybe someone else has solved this and will post soon. Quote

Thanks for the help Out of curiosity, why would leaving hardware acceleration on cause ttf text to disappear? Quote
Dana W Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Here's a wild guess. The ttf probably cannot handle the AutoCAD automatic (white/black) switching when the hardware accel is used, and makes it color 255 instead, which is white no matter what background it's on. Quote
