in studio max can you have more than one file open at once and then go from one model to another, like in autocad you can swap from one drawing to another?
thanks to someone with an answer

make sure SDI=0 if you want more than one drawing open at a time, SDI=1 for only one open at a time.
SDI=single document interface

This is a 3DS Max question guys. There is no SDI mode in Max.
No, you cannot have more than one file open in Max at a time. If you need another file open, you have to open another instance of Max.

thanks a lot cad 64,
this is what i thought after various attempts at opening more than one file at the same time and being able to see what files were all open like you can do in autocad, i just thought i was going through the correct process to view what was open,
cheers
