I'm sure this can be done ( like you can in Publisher ) but how do you send something backwards. I have had to highlight some zones on a drawing and used gradient to do fill in the areas. I have set the transparency to 36 which, on screen, shows the text, etc underneath the shaded area as I need. The problem is when I print - the highlighted zone is all that is printed, whatever is underneath is not printed as the colour of the gradient covers it.

You have used the Draw Order option is the Hatch and Gradient dialog window correct?
