Select Similar

Why is there a select similar option on Civil 3d 2010 but not on regular autocad 2010?

Is there anyway I can put the select similar command on regular Autocad 2010? I know they had it on map in 2005... why not now?

those goofballs at autodesk... pfff...

Strangely enough AutoDesk must have listened to the masses as they included the command Selectsimilar in AutoCAD 2011 (vanilla version).

A lot of really cool functions are only ever available in the vertical products; I'll never understand why, they're just as useful for Vanilla people.

Yeah and its something I am totally use to having... even though I know its not there Just out of habit I right click and start looking for it haha.

Yeah definately! works perfect as expected. is there anyway to load it through the cui so i can put it in my right click menu? Actaully i dont even need that. I changed it to SS so its super easy to type.

Select similar is probably one of my most favorite commands becasue I use a ton of blocks with wipeout and its gets all overlapped and crazy when your getting ready for a submittal or meeting, and select similar is a super fast way to make sure everything looks nice.

Add it to the Shortcut menu in the CUI editor.
