Lost "pull down menu" command line only?

This is likely a bonehead oversight on my part....I have managed to disable something within my menu settings as now when I open/save as etc. I cannot browse for the file, I am prompted on the command bar.

 

Any suggestions? Again thank you in advance

set system variable FILEDIA to a value of 1
