match layer properties

has anyone got a lisp routine that works like match properties but i need it to change all matching layer spec, so if i click on a layer named PRO, and click on a layer named DIMS it then would change all layers named PRO to Layer DIMS and all the linetype and colour changes as well.

one of them will do nicely, all i need to do is change it so that bycolor is not set as default color.

Did you try QSELECT and select by Layer then change the properties of all items selected?
