Hey,

I am kinda new to dynamic blocks. I am wondering the best way to save your blocks. I started a drawing where that I named block where I plan on storing all of my blocks. THen when I am working on a drawing and want to use one of the blocks I want to just open the block drawing and copy adn paste the blocks that I want into my current drawing. Well, I did this but the actions on the block are not the same when copying into the new drawing. Any ideas or a better method would be much appreciated.

tnx

Each time you generate a dynamic block you need to WBLOCK it into as a seperate file. I have a blocks folder and i actually intsert the more regularly used ones into my tool pallette (Control+3) i hope this helps.

ehres my problem so far

i created a block and saved it

then i insert it into my new drawing

i try to add it to my newly created palatte "blocks" and it says I have to save drawing first

where should i put the blocks if i want them in my palatte for every new drawing, in my templates?

nvm

if you save it to a pallete in any drawing it automatically stays there in every drawing

very cool

You need to do as i said in my earlier post. Each time you create a dynamic block WBLOCK it to a seperate folder where you can store and manage your block library. This is the way i do it........open this file through your 'my computer' and go to you blocks file. So now they are all displayed you can literally drag them one at a time into your tool pallette from there.
