DODGE Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Hi Guys Can somebody tell me the correct way to put an Excel spread sheet into Autocad? I did do this along time back but have lost all my notes, and now just can't remember how. I basically want, on my drawings a legend of components, I have made the spread sheet in Excel and when I fill in the spread sheet in Excell I want it to duplicate in AutoCad with both programs running. Hope that makes sense. Thanks Guys Dodge down Unda Quote
ReMark Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 You can embed it as an OLE object (the "old" way) or starting with AC 2008, I believe it was, you could create a Dynamic Link which starts with using the Table command. I've done it this way and have had good results. The spreadsheet can be updated in either Excel or AutoCAD and any changes that are made will be reflected in the other file when the link is updated. DODGE Posted October 10, 2010 Author Posted October 10, 2010 Thanks Remark I went with The table command seems better than the spanish way 'OLE' Cheers Dodge Quote
