jkblaze Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find an answer for this. My Osnaps are changing based on the command I input. Line = End, Mid, Cen, Int Circle = End, Cen, Int Polyline = End, Int Spline = End, Nearest Rotate = End, Cen, Int etc, etc Even when turned off they turn themselves on as soon as I enter the command. Please tell me I'm missing something obvious as I'm starting to panic a bit! System is Windows XP running Autocad Mechanical 2010, along with Toolpac 13.0 and CDGPurge Quote
Cad64 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 It's probably something that Toolpac is doing. Does it allow you to set specific osnaps depending on what tool you're using? I don't know how or why that would be useful, but that would be my first guess. Quote

I just tried removing it (Toolpac) and still have the same problem. I'm not used to working with Mechanical, is it possible that this is a Mechanical feature? Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 question...do you work for a company that has set up a "standard" for snap functions? If so, you may be suffering from some manager's idea of what you should use. another question...is this a new phenomenon, or something that's been there from the start? If it's new, what has recently changed? Upgrades to software, hardware, or management can have unexpected results. Quote

I was previously using Autocad 2002. Nothing has changed software or hardware wise since the install. Quote
alanjt Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Try "_.line" and see if it still does it. Quote
jkblaze Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Try "_.line" and see if it still does it. Still the same, changes to End, Mid, Cent, Inter from just Endpoint. Is there any kind of an osnap file that could be repaired? Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 unless something fouled up in the install, and for the life of me i can't imagine what that would be, you should be able to set it them any way you want them, or turn them off completely. I'm not familiar with toolpac, so I don't know what that might have done to you. this is going to take some thought. Quote
