Ehafitz
Hi all, I was wondering is anyone has made a chain connection that didn't use 2 chain wheels...I'm still learning with inventor and am practicing by mocking a vertical door system. The doors ride on the same track and connected via a chain so I have one chain end attached to one door, it goes around the chain wheel for 180 deg and the other chain end attaches to the other door. Any insight on performing this?
JD Mather
Use the Design Accelerator to create two sprockets and then delete one. The chain is represented by a cosmetic simplification.
Ehafitz
By deleting, are you referring to disabling its visibility? I would like to make the system with just one chain strand that does not connect back to itself but 2 separate sub-assemblies
JD Mather
By deleting I mean selecting the part and hitting the Delete key. Attach your assembly here if you can't figure it out.
