Derived Component. Why wasn't it done correctly to begin with? Family of part sizes? iParts, iFeatures, iAssemblies, iLogic......

it was a downloaded model, therfore not created by me and from different software. i just want to use it as a visual mark within my render.

Derived Component is probably your best bet in this case.

On the Manage tab click Derive... .... as you go through the process you will see a box to enter scale factor.

You might want to opt to Break the link to the original.
