Riser Nipple

A common need for me is to tie two horizontal pipes together with a vertical pipe. The horizontal pipes are at different elevations, directions and sometimes sloping. Have just starting with MEP and figure there must be an easy way to do this.

set up your routing preferences. make a new one or modify one to your needs. you should be able to click the end of one of the horizontal pipes, click the + sign and then click the vertical pipe, it should auto route throwing in w,e, fitting you have set for a tee (san tee, LTTY) hope that helps... routing preference only goes so far, really weird combos you will need to manually place fittings, usually rolling fittings and stuff like that
