kari_sinkko Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Hi, I'm trying to understand what this Object reference missing error is trying to tell me. Is it the case that it's saying that: 1. The AecDbRailing is not apart of the block? 2. The AecDbMaterialDef is not associated to the block? 3. That when I edit the block in place, the block needs all bits to be in the block before I can edit the block in place? You have 15 minuted to answer this question. It is worth 10% of the exam.... kari_sinkko Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Update: I've found it to be a handrail that's playing up: Now I've got to find out what's up with that...hmmm... Quote
kari_sinkko Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Ok, there's something wrong with my handrails... handrail.dwg Any ideas? Quote
kari_sinkko Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 I know what the answer is. Again, was editing the handrail, exploded the railing so it became a block unassociated to model space so that the reoccuring reference was corrected. I guess refedit is something that Autocad didn't expect people to use in this way. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Sounds like you are missing some Object Enablers. Did you create these objects? Quote
kari_sinkko Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 They where handrails that I used from the Design Centre. I may of modified them back then, and since then we've now centralized our network to a new location, I'm thinking that the dwg from then is abandoned as well I went through a few websites to find a solution and it was only by trail and error that exploding the dynamic part of the rail and converting it into a block that was the easiest way. I'll look into Object Enablers SLW210, thanks for the direction Quote
