Textures do not display correctly after i import my profile.

I proved this out in class. All textures looked great, then i loaded my usual profile and then the textures only show a color. textures created from images after the profile is imported do work. I haven't found any settings in options which have any affect. I made a new profile and changed only a few things in options and it works but I would like to learn the detail of what is causing this behavior. Thanks
