Hi,

I have points in my project, but they won't insert into my current drawing. I tried insert by number, and I've tried with "use current point label style when inserting points" checked on and off. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

What exactly have you for AutoCAD?

It would appear that you need Civil 3D to do what you are trying to achieve, vanilla AutoCAD cannot deal with point labels.

AutoCad Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2009.

I don't have any experience with Land Desktop, only Civil 3D, but I would have thought it was possible to do what you want. Have you tried copy with base point?

I'm on my way out of the office now and won't be back until Monday, but I'll see if I can have a look at over the weekend.

OK Tlax,

I have imported some points into a drawing as C3D points.

Then I opened another drawing and had both windows open next to one another.

I selected just some of the points on screen (but you could use any selection method you want) and then right clicked in the screen and from the context menu selected copy with base point. When prompted I entered 0,0.

I then went to the other drawing and entered Ctrl+V and gave 0,0 as the insertion point. The points were all inserted on their original coordinates and showed up correctly in the Project Manager.

I can see no reason why you can't do it with Land Desktop Companion. Give it a go.
