kilc6887 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I have a curved polyline with several segments of unequal lengths. I need to put a node at each segment endpoint. The measure and divide commands will not be able to accomplish what I need. Is there a way to quickly place a node at all endpoints on a line or something similar that would help me? Thanks. Quote
eldon Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 If you have the Endpoint Osnap on, then you can place points at all the endpoints as you move the cursor along the polyline Quote
kilc6887 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 Eldon, The problem with that is I have 20 of these lines that are all different from one another and each contain roughly 4200 segments. That's why I'm looking for an automatic command to do this rather then manually placing the nodes. Quote
eldon Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 That's no problem. Perhaps you have not done a search for a lisp routine that suits your need Quote
kilc6887 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 I believe that is where I need to be with this. I haven't ever used a LISP routine, but I would like to learn how to use these. Can you point me towards some good tutorials to get me started? Quote
kilc6887 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 If anyone has a LISP routine that would work for what I am trying or one that I could change slightly to complete my task I'd appreciate it very much. Quote
designerstuart Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 this maybe not exactly right for you, but a start? Quote
kilc6887 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 I have kind of the opposite designerstuart. I have a table with several points in it that I'd like to place nodes at. I'd also like to connect some of those nodes and place text at certain nodes to label the points. Anything that could point me in the right direction would be quite helpful. Quote
