stenews Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 yes I did it but I'm still in trouble on how to generate the 3D form that section Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 yes I did it but I'm still in trouble on how to generate the 3D form that section I think someone already wrote a lisp routine for that effect and posted it here at CADTutor. A search should turn it up. Quote
stenews Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 hi ReMark and thanks for your reply! I'll try to spot over the forum...which key word do you suggest? Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I haven't the foggiest idea at the moment. I'll try jogging the few remaining working brain cells I have left to see if I can come up with a suitable answer. Maybe Lee Mac or alanjt might remember. Quote
stenews Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 thanks a lot for your help! I really appreciate that! Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) I just lucked out. I searched on the words "solid pipe end" and I think I found what I was looking for. I only checked the first page of this multi-page thread but I do believe it has what you are looking for. I suggest you review the entire thread and not stop prematurely. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?43676-3D-pipe-end-pipe-break&highlight=solid+pipe+end Edited December 29, 2010 by ReMark Quote
stenews Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 One more time you get me in right way! Thank you so much ReMark! I'll post you what I did with your great help! P.S. BTW it's suppose to be a column of a church don_vincenzo_3d3_cut.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I like what you did with the four "keys" (one at each quadrant; nice detail) but the stepped base doesn't do it for me. Is this for an existing church? Quote
stenews Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Is this for an existing church? yes it is ...stepped base doesn't do it for me... It's only a roughly idea...may be it will be re invented Thank you very much indeed for your help:) Quote
ReMark Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 If it weren't for people changing their minds I'd be out of a job! LOL I didn't provide much in the way of help; just pointed you in the right direction. You're entirely welcomed. Good luck on your design. Quote
