Jadgpanther Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi we have a drawing from a supplier, when in layout tab, we click on paper/model space we get what appears to be a viewport . But, when clicking inside the viewport we cannot zoom, move around or do anything with drawing? any ideas thanks Quote
ReMark Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I recently had a similar problem and found out that the outside contractor had created three viewports within a single, large viewport that was sized to fit the border on their sheet. In effect I could not tell this larger viewport was there. Are there any locked layers in the drawing? Quote
designerstuart Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 a lot more basic but the viewport could be locked? look at properies palette Quote
irneb Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 If you run into ReMark's problem of overlapping (or worse enclosed) viewports ... it's extremely difficult to use the cursor to select the active VP. You either need to move the VP's off each other in PS (even just temporarily), or you can manually change the CVPORT system variable: type CVPORT and change the value from 2 onwards (1 would be PS itself, but doesn't work this way). Daftlad Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 If the Viewport is locked, the whole page will zoom in and out. Could really be that simple. As Designerstuart said, check the Properties to see if its locked. Quote
Jadgpanther Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Hi guys many thanks for reply, went to PS, un-froze all layers, this now revealed the actual viewport, highlighted VP, clicked on properties, and it was locked, thanks again Quote
