couldn't erase the line, UCS icon

Hi

1: There I drew a line. I don't which setting did I use. Then, I couldn't erase or cut that line no matter what. What could be the reason in your view? Please have a look on the linked video.

2: In the video you could see see I have UCS icon with "W" at the intersection of "Y" and "X". What does that "W" mean?

3: I want to change that UCS icon. How do I do this? In the following link different icons are shows, how do I get those 'simple' icons?

Please help me. Thanks.

PS: The title should have been: couldn't erase the line, UCS icon.

1) Is the line on a locked layer? If so, you have to unlock the layer before you can modify any objects on that layer. You can lock/unlock layers either through the Layer Manager, or from the Layer drop down list.

2) The "W" in the UCS Icon indicates you're using the WCS (World Coordinate System)

3) View > Display > UCS Icon > Properties > UCS Icon Style > 3D

Thanks a lot, Nestly.

Well, that's the problem. The layer wasn't locked.

Your videos have really helped me a lot. Thanks.

So you still can't delete the line? Can you post the drawing as an attachment.

I wish I could. Actually I was just playing around at that time, didn't save anything. But if you see the video again you would notice that I wasn't even able to select that line - there didn't appear any 'selection' small blue squares.

In that video the layer ASHADE is indeed locked, one can see the Lock-icon in the Layer bar.
