Cat Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Does anyone have any recommendations? Something that doesn't make one's eyes glaze over would be nice. Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I still think the VLIDE Help Documentation is the best 'book' you could read on AutoLISP and Visual LISP alike - and what's more, its free. Quote

I'm being serious when I say this, I feel that you could probably write your own book. With all the code and explanations you've already posted, you're already more than half way there!!! Quote

BlackBox Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I agree with Lee, I use the VLIDE Help documentation almost daily. However, here are some other (PDF) books I've accumulated on the topic: The AutoCADet's Guide To Visual LISP The Visual LISP Developers Bible Also worth mentioning, is Autodesk University (AU). AU is another great resource for do-it-yourself-ers (if you have access to an account), as they post all training courses each year to their database including course materials (handouts, data sets, etc.), and often times Pod casts, and Screen casts for you to 'follow-along'. Cat Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Thanks Lee Mac/Renderman, I have problems accessing online help from Autodesk, but luckily I can access the help files for the VLIDE information. Quote

lfe011969 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 There are some more options here: http://cadpanacea.com/node/111 Wow, I've been to your site before and have even used some code from there (see here), but I never made it to this section. The ABC's of AutoLISP link looks like an excellent resource. Thanks for sharing!! Quote

skatterbrainz Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 The Visual LISP Developers Bible 2011 Edition is pretty good too - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004I43BFK Quote
