fokerss Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 i wonder if the autocad 2012 can use in xp .cause my father just asking this question. Quote
ReMark Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 2012 has not been released yet to my knowledge so you would be looking at AutoCAD 2011. I don't see why you could not run AutoCAD 2011 in Windows XP Pro. Just don't expect miracles. Does you father have a 32-bit or 64-bit system? System requirements as per AutoDesk: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=13784795 Quote
Tyke Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 We run AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and AutoCAD 2011 on some of our machines under Windows XP Pro 32 Bit and 4 GB RAM with all Service Packs installed and don't have any problems at all. I think that WHEN AutoCAD 2012 is released it would run under XP Pro too. But as Mark said "Just don't expect miracles." Quote
ccowgill Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 From 2010 on, you must have the SSE2 technology for the program to run on the computer, so, if your xp machine is old enough, it may not run on it. If the xp is an older single core amd processor, it probably wont work, If I recally, AMD didnt have SSE2 until the dual core processors. Quote
