Bolted Connections 2011

Should I have to add manual constraints to bolted connections in dynamic or stress simulations? Right now, when I create a bolted connection, nothing is constrained and I have to add the relevant constraints.

Is there a way in the stress analysis environment to convert all bolted connections to fixed constraints, or is this done automatically? I'm suppressing the bolted connections in the analysis, having been told to do so by someone at Autodesk. Using automatic contacts I have gotten strange results. I just manually constrained several bolted connections and got a more reasonable result. However, I have a fairly large number of bolts to deal with. Or can it be done in assembly, possibly bolted connection but not add hardware?

You could split the faces where the clamp forces would be applied.
