Hello,

I am trying to change a file location of a drawing. Using save as , I select the new location leaving me with two locations. How can I save the file to the new location while removing it from its old old location. Without having to go back and delete it.

Thanks

I don't think it is possible....without some coding, since everything is possible with coding ;)

move it using explorer, not autocad?

That is just stupid. We need some coding here.

why stupid? it's quick, simple, standard. people use this every day and have done for years.

would it not be more stupid to write a code for something that can be done already?

I think (and hope) CADkitt was being sarcastic...

One possibility?

You could do it with a batch file that loads at the beginning of each day. It could prompt you for the drawing name(s) to delete.
