mikeklon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Hello, I am trying to change a file location of a drawing. Using save as , I select the new location leaving me with two locations. How can I save the file to the new location while removing it from its old old location. Without having to go back and delete it. Thanks Quote
CADkitt Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I don't think it is possible....without some coding, since everything is possible with coding Quote
designerstuart Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 move it using explorer, not autocad? Quote
CADkitt Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 move it using explorer, not autocad? That is just stupid. We need some coding here. Quote
designerstuart Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 why stupid? it's quick, simple, standard. people use this every day and have done for years. would it not be more stupid to write a code for something that can be done already? Quote
nestly Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I think (and hope) CADkitt was being sarcastic... Quote
designerstuart Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 :oops:oh sorry you should have used [sARCASTIC] quotes [/sARCASTIC]! Quote
ReMark Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 One possibility? You could do it with a batch file that loads at the beginning of each day. It could prompt you for the drawing name(s) to delete. Quote
