Drawing Template help

Recommended Posts

Posted

Ive created a drawing template file, which has the border I use saved in it and the plotters and plotstyle set up on it.

Im modifying a drawing to make it 'our' but when I right click the tabs at the bottom and click 'from template' and bring in my template. its bringing the border in but not the plotters/printers in that I have set up.

What am I doing wrong?

Are you creating a 'pagesetup' for these plot settings?

Yeh, in page setup manager. when i go back to the template they are still there just not when i fetch it into a new drawing :s

I've just tried this, and it does seem that when inserting templates into a drawing by this method it does not include page setups. If it's a one off, or an occasional thing, I would import the setups through the plot dialogue box.

Could it be that the settings are saved as drawing variables and hence not being copied over?

Do you know Huggate? Lived there for quite a while.

I do know Huggate, though not particularly well. I've just passed through a few times because the ex wife has family in Fridaythorpe. Huggate seems very nice, but it's a bit sticksville for me, I like a bit more happening around me.

You're a fair way from home Tyke!

There's a very nice restaurant in Fridaythorpe, been there many times. Huggate was OK, not too far away from everywhere and I had room for the horse, pony and donkey.
