THE JACK Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I frequently link excel sheets to AutoCAD drawings I have created a template with a text height defined for the title, header and data texts. Each time i attach the excel sheet the text does not come in at the height that is set. i can change the text manually but each time the link is updated it reverts back to original. it is not a major issue but it is a pain and i would like to resolve this i use 2010 but this is also in previous versions any thoughts appreciated ps In excel the text is 10 high Quote
Sittingbull Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm having some troubles with my tables aswell. I linked a csv file to my table and defined a template. But everytime i make a link update, the table reshapes completely. Rows and column width and height are reset. Format aswell. For the cel contents, i've chosen to convert data format to text. I also deliberatly unchecked "use excel formating". Also the data does not work biderictional. Allow writing to source is checked. edit: Alright... Nevermind. Apparently it works fine now. Except for the margins. whatever... I think i had to break the link and remake it... Edited April 27, 2011 by Sittingbull broke the link Quote
Sittingbull Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Hello all, I'm bringing this one back up again. Writing to source works fine, but it doesn't add new rows i created in my CAD table. When updating the link, the green brackets stay on their position and do not enclose the new row. I tried to edit the link and redefine the range or even changed to "entire sheet" option, but didn't help. Is there some command or parameter i can use to change the data link delimitters? Best regards, SB Quote
Sittingbull Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Sorry again: false alert . I got confused with the table link options. I found that you can more easely manage the table shape by not using the "use excel formatting". All seems to work fine now. SB Quote
