Trouble creating or editing layers in Autocad Architecture 2009 and Archibus Overlay

I have been working using Archibus 18 (overlay for Autocad) and this morning when I opened up the file I was working on yesterday, I could not add a new layer or even edit any existing layers. Anyone know what might be causing this issue? Thank you in advance
