I have found that I can raster insert Architectural drawings as .tiffs, scale them to accurate size and draw on top of them. I find this very useful in takeoffs/estimating, but when I plot, only the path to the tiff is displayed not the drawing (raster image). Only the lines, dimensions and text that I created are visible on the plot.

I have tried different attach methods in image manager, but not landed upon any that work. Is there any way to include those imported raster image tiffs in my plot?

Are you plotting from AutoCAD? What does the preview look like?

Have you tried putting the TIFFs in the same directory as the drawing?

The saved path is shown in the drawing if the file can't be found.

Bingo!!! Thanks, this problem has perplexed me for 5+ years. I always had the tiffs in a separate directory, because "I'm organized". I was certain it had to be associated with my lack of knowledge in the Xref environment and all I needed to do was find the right import/attach command sequence.

This will open many new possibilities.

Now, if I can just figure out how to get the results of the "list" command to depost to an Excel cell I will be off & running.
