samifox Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Hi Im using AutoCAD LT 2006. I want to learn how to automate AutoCAD. I heard about recording interface action, but i dont know how to do it. and I'm pretty sure its not available on LT. secondly, I heard about LIPS. I also googe the keyword "LIPS". I couldn’t find anything interesting. Does anyone know about some learning material on the net? or any other input will be great. Thanks Shay Quote
SLW210 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Try googling "LISP" Or "Visual LISP". LISP doesn't work on LT. Quote
Grant Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Visual Lisp and Lisp only work on Autocad full version You will be able to do scripts and possibly some Diesel programming Quote
ReMark Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 You can add macros to the two other means of automating AutoCAD LT that Grant mentioned above. There are at least two websites dedicated to AutoCAD LT that I am aware of. One of them is LT UnLimited which I have posted links to in the past. Quote
Tyke Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Palettes can also be used in LT to do certain amount of automation. I'm not sure, but I think DIESEL can also be used in LT. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Macros, Templates, Fields, Dynamic Blocks, and Tool Palettes & their properties are about the extent of "customizing" that you'll get in LT. It can do a lot if you get creative. Quote
