AfraLISP site says:

"Now, save this file as "testline.lsp" remembering, to save it as a ASCII Text file and ensuring that it is saved in a directory in your AutoCAD's search path."

1- I couldn't find ASCII Text file in my notepad editor. Isn't ordinary txt file supported?:(

2- It says to save in a directory in your AutoCAD's search path. There are many path in Tools/options, file tab. Which is suitable for this purpose?:(

a notepad txt file is good enough. Wordpad MAY include format strings and word definitely does so these cannot be used.

I would create a new folder called routines (or similar) and add that to your AutoCAD search path.

There are many search paths, to name few:

Support File Search Path, Working Support File Search Patch, Device Driver File Search Path, Project Files Search Path

Which one should I use?

Simply create one. Wherever you like. Then go to options and ad it to the list.

In the Saveas dialog there is a option to save to ASCII or another format.
