Screening a jpg file

Hey all, is there a way to screen a jpeg file in Autocad 2008 to be half toned to a lighter weight?

when i print a drawing with a jpg attached it comes out very dark and make sit impossible to see the work i have done on top of it. i have moved my work to be ON TOP of the image but the jpeg over rides my work

is this possible?

yes, i think so. in 2009 using properties > image adjust you can set contrast, brightness and fade. can you do this in 2008 too?

yeah, i did that.....that adjusted my screening for me to view it on my screen but when it came to plotting, it came out the same way....dark

best i can offer atm is to adjust it in photoshop or similar and reinsert. i expect someone else will tell you how to do it if you wait a little longer.

That's the only way I've found to do it. You can always make a copy of the image before you lighten it up.

After choosing your plotter, select Properties, then Graphics.

we actually have two winners on this one...........

i tried the screening of the image by itself and it printed just fine.

i also tried changing the printing options and it printed out as welll.

i think the screening of the image is actually wiser only for the fact that once you modify the file and save it, it will be set here on out.
