In Autocad Architecture 2011 I`m using tha Build>Wall tool to build walls. I noticed that all walls drawn that way are automatically placed in a layer labeled A-wall.
My problem is I need to be able to draw a second floor on top of the first floor I already made and autocad automatically places these walls in the same A-wall layer. The Newer walls I make intersect with the older ones and problems arise.
I think I need to be able to create walls in different layers and assign each a different Elevetion value ( according to the floor/story number) but I just don`t understand how to move these walls to any other layer than A-wall.
(If anyone has any other idea how to tackle this issue of drawing diffrenet floors - to each it`s own wall plan, I`d be thankful for suggestions)
Thanks

Are you using the Project Manager? This is the easiest way to lay out a building. Each level is its own file.

I'll confirm what Noahma said. Constructs is what you're after and.... have fun, because you have a lot to learn. But it's well worth it.
