Glen Smith Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I have a recollection of finding an AutoCAD command here along the lines of EXPORTTOCAD or AUTOCADOUT or ACADOUT which would strip out any MEP and AEC objects or convert them to Vanilla AutoCAD objects for compatability with back level versions. I have a drawing that was provided by the Architect which I have "cleaned up" (turning off layers and so forth) that I need to give to one of our programmers so he can use it to create simple graphical maps. He uses AutoCAD LT 2005 to take screen captures that get used as backgrounds in another application. Between the XREF's and MEP and AEC objects, what he sees on his screen is different that what I see on mine. I have back saved to AutoCAD 2004 file version but that ain't doing it for us. I'll try earlier versions, but I cant shake the feeling that there is a simple command that will do what I need. Any ideas? Thanks Glen Quote
Glen Smith Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Exporttoautocad I just found it here: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?43121-Make-these-XREF-s-go-away! Apparently, I didn't document it well enough. Thank you for the help. Glen Quote
