Can I open a DWG in power point....

Im going to TV to show autocad and I need to know if is posible to open a DWG in power point....:shock: im using autocad 2010 and office 2007....:shock:

Yes.

The computer must have AutoCAD installed to show the dwg in PowerPoint.

If 3D - you can rotate and zoom object while in PowerPoint.

If 2D - you can zoom, and I seem to recall that you can turn layers on and off, but not sure on that one.

No. But you can plot the drawings to a file as a jpg, and then insert the jpg into a slideshow.

 

Well, at least I can't in 2009 LT. the dwg files don't even show in the Open list.

Can you use the print screen feature on the keyboard. Then insert that in a Power Point slide?

In the first one Lynn shows how to embed dwf, but you can also embed a dwg right into the slide. The advantage of dwf - doesn't require AutoCAD on the presentation machine (but might require Design Review depending on how it is done).

Yeah, I am pretty sure that can be done, but JDM has a better way above.
