hi forum

i got some plans with pdf format and i want to disign the lighting part of the plans

i use autocad 2011 with windows 7

i created a layer and import the pdf file in that layer and also i created an othere layer for lighting part of plan and also i created some blocks for the sybols that i want to use.

now i want to insert my blocks in the layer but i have some questions:

1st. how can set the scale of the plan?

in all plans are some note that how long are the walls but when i use the Liner tool and point exact that part of plan that has note, the nomber that i get is little smaler as the nomber in plan can you please let me know is there any way to set a scale that return exact same distance?

2nd. how can i change the format of drawind lines?

i created some blocks and i put them in a new layer everything is fine but as i print the plan on paper my symbols are not like that i want. i need the lines of my blocks be little Thicker that it is. can you please let me know how can i do that?

thanks

Are you using paperspace/Modelspace? Are your wall lengths off in Modelspace or are you measuring them 'off' in Paperspace? How far 'off' are they? If it is fairly small it might be within tolerance.

Are you printing using a defined plotsyle (i.e. prints certain color lines certain weights as defined)?
