Jadgpanther Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 hi i have a dwg, with each sheet on a different layer, around 12 sheets/layers is there a way to print these off in one go ? thanks Quote
rkmcswain Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Print the multiple layouts? Select them all, right click, choose Publish. Quote
designerstuart Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 or if you just type command PUBLISH you can select the layouts you want to print. NOTE: you can use this method to print many different drawings, as well as just multiple layouts in each drawing. Quote
Jadgpanther Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 there are no layouts created, i just have multiple layers , each one representing a sheet within the drawing, is there a way, printing off these layers in the manager ? thanks Quote
Glen1980 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Do you mean the layers are on top of one another e.g. ground floor plan with first second etc drawn over the top of it? Even so you should be able to set up layouts then isolate the layers on different sheets. With LT there isn't likely to be an easy answer. Can you upload the file or screen shot? Quote
Jadgpanther Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 Glen yep, that is it, is electrical schematics, each sheet drawn over the top, on different layers, have LT 2010, guess I will just print off by turning each layer on in turn ( I dont need to work on dwgs, just want a print off to do some calcs) thanks Quote
designerstuart Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 oh so you did mean layers!? sorry to mislead - afraid glen is right, don't know of a clever workaround to this, other than to set up layouts. which would take longer than the layer control method. Quote
Glen1980 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 It would definitely take longer if you only require to print it once, but if you need another set then you can use the PUBLISH command. You might also want to look at the layer states manager the original draftsman/woman may have set up layer states to quickly change layers, although it appears from your first post that it is one sheet per layer.
