T704 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I have set the drawing unit to Decimal, however later during the most opportune moment ACAD decided my units should be Architectural. I'll go to Format > Units.. & switch it back but it will soon be back to Architectural again (Land desktop 2002). Is there a way to make it stay the way I set it??????? Quote
CyberAngel Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Wow, they had LDD in 2002? Try the UNITS command. The Format menu may only be affecting a certain type of measurement. Quote
Dana W Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Does LDD have dimension styles? I bet the primary units in one or more dimension styles are set to what you see as a change in units. Quote
SLW210 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Do you run any LISPs or add-on programs? Would you be able to post some screenshots? Quote
T704 Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 @Dana W, Yes it does will check that out sounds reasonable. @ SLW210, I DO RUN A FEW LISP FILES AND ADD-ONS (THESE ARE FOR CIVIL ENG. AND ARE AUTODESK) SCREEN SHOTS NO, STILL WOULDN'T GIVE YOU ANY MORE INCITE THOUGH, ....I'LL BE DRAWING IN DECIMAL AND TRY TO GET A DISTANCE AND IT IS NOW IN FEET AND INCHES. THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSES Quote
T704 Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 @CyberAngel, I used the UNITS CMD. and all seems good (although the computer knows i'm talking about her, so maybe on best behavior right now?) Quote
T704 Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 @Dana W, drawing has only std. dim style and is set to decimal. Quote
Dana W Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 @Dana W, drawing has only std. dim style and is set to decimal. It was just the most obvious one of a couple of things it might have been. Once you have started to mess with dimension styles, you will probably do that to yourself at least once. My vanilla AutoCAD is too different for me to investigate your problem using it. I have never used LDT so I have to bow out an let more experienced poeple try your issue. Quote
