dfrle Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Hello, Can anyone tell me how to adjust the default settings of my drawing units. I have adjusted these so that if I create a new drawing they are set as I want them. But when I output a drawing from I work with a land surveying package. I use both AutoCAD 2006 and R14. When I export a cad dwg from the survey software and open it in R14 my drawing units are as I want them E.G Direction Control = North = 270 and should be set to clockwise. If I open the same exported drawing but in 2006 the settings change. If I create a new drawing in 2006, the settings are as I want them. Can anyone shed any light on what they think might be happening... Quote
Tyke Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Do you have the settings in your template file? You could always set a toolbox button (in 2006 there was no palettes) to set the appropriate system variables and change them all at one go. Quote
