Trim/Extend lines to AEC Objects

I Recently upgraded to Architecture 2012 and am trying to adjust.

 

I am having some difficulty with trimming/extending lines to AEC doors. I can select the door as an object to trim to, but when the line to be trimmed is selected, nothing happens.

 

Also, I seem to remember being able to trim lines to either side of a wall. Currently, it trims to the baseline of the wall only.

 

Basically, I'm wondering if there is a setting or something that will allow each component of an AEC object to be used as a trim/extend edge.

 

Any suggestions?
