Need Replacement CD from Harnessing Civil 3D 2009

We are just starting to migrate to Civil 3D 2009 from LD 2008. We decided to go only to 2009 so we could still on occasion use our LD skills, but would begin learning the new interface.

So I found some books at reduced prices. The subject book was shipped with an intact CD, but it arrived in multiple pieces. And the book is only partially contained in the book - about 1/2 is only on the CD.

I am looking for someone who is willing to get me a copy of the CD. TIA

It doesn't appear to be available on the Internet, so unless someone has a copy of it it will probably be hard to come by.

Have you tried contacting the publishers? Most will replace a damaged CD if you send them the old one. I did it once myself without any hassle, but I can't remember now which book it was.

What do you think of that book so far? Is it any good for teaching people (who know how to use AutoCad) to use Civil 3D?

I've only had the book for a few days and I do have a life. From what I have seen, I've already learned a few things. The portion of the book in print looks good, I only hope I can find someone who can hook me up with a copy of the CD, since I also support the survey side and all of the chapters on survey are on the CD.

You should send that one back and try to obtain one with CD intact. My wife orders through Amazon and about half the time anything with a CD or DVD is non-usable and she has never had a problem returning an item. You should check into a Safari books online subscription, they may have what you need.

The seller buys odd lots of books - I guess I could try sending it back, but the cost of shipping will just make the book even less a bargain than it already was.

Ordered a copy of the latest edition for the office which should turn up by the end of the week. Send me a message with your email address in it and I'll try to send the cd contents (which are probably pretty similar) when it arrives.
