SPACECADET Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I have blocks in palettes that need to be brought in on a specified layer ( that layer is constant throughtout projects for that specfic block...ie cupboard is on layer lot 2 loose) I have palettes set up so that items on a specific layer are in a specific palette. As I have inherited the palettes I need to globally change the layer property I don't seem to be able to select all and do it that way and to go through each is a biggy. I realise it is set to take on current layer...but other users may forget to invoke the correct layer prior to inserting. Can this be 'lisped' all help greatly received. Quote
alanjt Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Select each item (you can use Ctrl and/or Shift to select multiples), right-click and go to properties, and from there you can change the layer for everything selected. eg. (I can't actually edit mine, since I keep them locked) Quote
SPACECADET Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Hmmm. This is my problem I can't select them without the block immediately entering the drawing which is preventing me selecting multiple. Would that be a setting somewhere? Quote

Hold the control key down before you click on the item or just right-click on the one my one, but the usage of control and shift will make things a lot easier/faster. Quote
