Anis Hamss Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hi everybody, I am beginner user for AutoCad. I am studying civil engineering (Palestinian territories). I have a dilemma in the installation of AutoCAD 2010. I have Win 7 system. The installation does not start up once begins! What shall I do?! Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Is this a 32-bit or 64-bit version of AutoCAD 2010? Is your computer 32-bit or 64-bit? Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements for AutoCAD 2010 as posted at the AutoDesk website? Are you using an educational version of the software? Did you get any error messages when you attempted to start AutoCAD? If so what was the exact wording of the message? Let's start with answers to these questions then go on from there. Quote

JD Mather Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Did you have a previous version of AutoCAD (any AutoCAD) installed on this machine? Where did you get the install files? Did you get 32-bit version? Did you turn off UAC before beginning install? Windows 7 32-bit version is very rare - typically installed by you on an older computer. Quote
daft vader Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 You would think in this day and age that autocad could tell you why it fail, rather then just "installation failed" Quote
Organic Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Where did you get the install files? This would be my first guess also. Post the install log file here (location of it is given in your previous image). Quote
