Bennymac777 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I am trying to import a assembly from Solidworks. I start by selecting the file and then opening it. Autocad notifies me that the file is ready. I click on the path and it cancels out. I then try in insert the block and nothing. Is there a easier way to convert a assembly from Solidworks to Autocad? Quote
SLW210 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 How are you trying to import? What is the file extension you have? Quote
Bennymac777 Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Importing an assembly file from Solidworks Premium 2011 into AutoCAD 2012. I have tried importing a part file also. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I was not aware that AutoCAD could import those file extensions. I think you will need to have the Solidworks save the files as ACIS (.sat) to import to AutoCAD, unless this is some new feature in 2012 AutoCAD. Quote
dtaylor Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 AutoCAD 2012 will only support up to Solidworks 2010 files Quote
