Dynamic block attribute field not displaying.

I have a dynamic block. It has a visible attribute which is used as a reference code. This reference code is filled in as the default attribute value. I then have invisible attributes these contain extra information such as height etc.

I have inserted a field after the visible attribute that reads the value of one of the invisible attributes...in this example the height (which will vary and as such is typed in via properties)

It will not return anything other than 0.

the field i have used is object (object type: attribute definition-picked from drawing) value.

It just doesn't show a result when i type a value in properties.

Any advise, suggestions?

Do you have the visible attribute set to "constant"?

Just a hunch, I have had issues getting nested attributes to reflect changing data when the constant variable is set to yes.

have just tried putting in a look up table pointing attribute filed to that but just shows title of the look up table.
