kiwi Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 greetings. Well, I did something that has messed me up - I lost the text window that is normally docked on the bottom of the AC screen. I searched and found that F2 brings it up, but I can't find how to have it permanently docked in the bottom left hand corner, where it normally resides. Help! Oh, I'm using AutoCad 2002 Thanks people Quote
Tiger Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 ctrl+9 is what you are looking for. F2 brings up the "external" commandline window. (hope its the same for 2002) Quote
kiwi Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 it is the "external" command line window that I mean. Quote
eldon Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I always thought that the text screen and the command line were two separate things. In the days when I only had one monitor, F2 toggles between the graphics screen and text screen, which can also be brought up by typing TEXTSCR on the command line. If you have lost the command line which is customarily across the full width of the screen (either top or bottom) and several lines deep, then that is a different matter. Quote
Tiger Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 the external command line or text screen is just another window, I don't think it can be docked to be honest. The commandlinewindow can be undocked though, so if you bring it back with Ctrl+9 you can then (in my 2011 at least) drag it to where you want it and dock it to other sides of the screen. Quote
kiwi Posted June 10, 2011 Author Posted June 10, 2011 Hi. Well, it seems to be working now, and it is docked into where Eldon said it should be. Thanks Quote
