manchest Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Hi I am using AutoCAD 2010 I have a problem with the dimensions on some drawings adding an extra digit to the text if I offset a line 100mm then draw a line between the 2 lines, the properties of the line show it as being 100mm long. If I then put an aligned dimension between the 2 lines the dimension text shows 1000 Does anybody know why the dimension text has an extra 0 Thanks for your help Quote
dbroada Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 if it is on ALL dimensions I would guess that you have a multiplication factor somewhere in your dimension style. If it is only on the odd line I would suggest that you check the Z c=values of each end (although a factor of 10 is quite extreme). Quote
manchest Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 Thanks dbroada I had a dim scale of 10 change it to 1 which corrects the dimension text. Didn't know you could have a automatic scale with dimensions Thanks again for your help Quote
dbroada Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 very useful when you have a mixture of metric & imperial although I prefer to double dimension when that happens. Quote
