Jkos Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Hello, is there any way when you plot to PDF to not get the name to end with –model? (without changing it by hand ) Quote
Glen1980 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 As far as I know the file name will always end with model if you print from model space and end with the title of the layout sheet if printed from layout space. There doesn't seem to be an option to change the file name within plot. If you were to publish many layouts or drawings there are options to change how the pdf file names are created or whether to include the file name or not. Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 I manually change mine just as you have indicated. I've yet to figure out a way to drop the "model" reference. Quote
Jkos Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 thanks changeing the name manually on 95 plots is a pain =) Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Maybe the job could be handled with a batch script. Quote
rkmcswain Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 ....is there any way when you plot to PDF to not get the name to end with –model? Use the Sheet Set Manager. _SSM While I agree with your suggestion, SSM is not an option while the OP is printing from model space - which I was curious about anyway..... Quote

Ollie8974 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) Open the Layout tab of the view you want to print as a PDF file. > Open the Plot window. > Open the drop down window of the Printer/Plotter name, scroll down to the listing DWG to PDF pc3, select this printer name, close window. In the Plot window select sheet size and scale, > Plot. This will send a PDF of the drawing to My Documents. To send the PDF file in an E-mail. Attach the PDF file to the E-mail. The file will have a PDF extension Edited June 29, 2011 by Ollie8974 Quote
