hey guys! 1st post.

i got a quick question for ya.

my company just switched to Autocad civil 3d land desktop companion 2009 from Autocad land desktop 2009.

the problem i'm having is that certain things like isolate layer ( layiso) are different in the new program. in civil 3d the command for isolate layer is ( lai ).

when i go into the aliascommand to change it i cannot find ( lai ) in the dialog box.

also ( this is sort of petty) when i move the cursor over anything . ie. building hatches. the entity goes away until the cursor is removed.

in a nutshell does anyone know how to fix this or more importantly make my civil 3d companion work the same way my land desktop did?

thanks alot for any input

The highlighting issue may be due to a conflict between your background color and your highlighting/transparency color. Actually, the lack of conflict. When you hover over an object, it becomes highlighted. I'm guessing the highlight color is so close to the background color that it effectively disappears.

You have several options. One is to turn off the hover/highlight thing in Options. Another is to change the highlight color/behavior.
