CalypsoArt Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 I'm still trying to setup the new machine with 2012 like the old machine w/2010. I realized a few problems was the MS keyboard that had enhanced functions. (since returned to default) However, when entering dynamic input it is always wrong. I have dynmode set to still if I use the rectangle tool and input 10, 20 I should get a 10" x 20" rectangle. I get nothing of the sort. I think it may be reading it as coordinates as opposed to dimensions. Answers, suggestions? Quote
SLW210 Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 What is on the command line? Command: _rectangSpecify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]: Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimensions/Rotation]: d Specify length for rectangles : Specify width for rectangles : 20 Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimensions/Rotation]: Quote
CalypsoArt Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 This is what is there Command: _rectang Specify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]: Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimensions/Rotation]: 10,20 Previously that is exactly how I drew a rectangle. Click rectangle icon, click a position in the drawing, then input dimensions e.g 10, 20 into dynamic onscreen boxes. Seems this is only a problem with the rectangle tool. Doing the same with circle or polygon works correctly. this has to be something with the setup? Quote
