Hi,

I've one problem and one additional question concerning layers and blocks when opening drawings.

First of all:

Everytime i open a new autocad drawing i got some 'standard' layers and integrated blocks i try to get ride of.

*In the layer palette i've already deleted the layers using the LAYDEL command which worked out fine, but i still need to find a way to save (and override the crap now) this configuration in further files?

So for example

-layer 0(standard)

-Defpoint(standard)

-My_Construction

-...

Does it got something to do with layer states?

*I can't erase the blocks in some way; tried to purge them out, tried to place them on a layer and delete that layer and iin the INSERT panel and Design Center. Also when i audit my 'empty' drawing it t's content but still, they are showed says 4 blocks audited, so they are still there... (no Xrefs included)

Apart from that is it possible to link some of my own blocks everytime i open a new drawing?

Can anyone clear this out? :)

Thanks in advance!

Addition,

in total there are 4 blocks,

-PURGE command says they can't be purged because they are in the drawing/xrefs/nested..

-Design center shows 2 of the 4 blocks in preview, other 2 are symbolized as a blank paper with yellow rectangle+circle and blue cornerpoint, whatever that means :)

From what I can gather from your posts, sounds like you need to set up a drawing like you want then "save as" .dwt (template).

Use Qselect to select your blocks after making sure all of their layers are on and thawed.
